What a beautiful and peaceful piece Gail designed! Gail told me about her inspiration and what type of background she had in mind. I created a Confetti Dyed fabric for her and I'm blown away at her finished piece!

Look What Heidi Proffetty Did!

Look at this lovely piece titled "Erin" created by the fabulous Heidi Proffetty! Heidi's mosaic style is so unique that the design draws me in and I can't turn my head away until I look at every single element. I was thrilled to know that Heidi used my fabrics in her design! 

Heidi gets her inspiration from photos she takes and then creates a pattern in her mosaic style. Next she selects fabric to highlight the shadows and textures of the design. You should defiantly check out Heidi's website where she discusses her process in more detail!

Look What Irene MacWilliam Did!

Irene MacWilliam was intrigued by my earlier tutorial on creating big color splashes across the surface of her fabric! I was delighted when Irene shared her pictures - how fun! Irene is contemplating using them in a project titled, Long Walk Home. You can read about it on the Stitched Art Textiles blog. 

I love the internet for connecting artists globally! Irene is from northern Ireland and I'm in Connecticut, USA... sharing a cross cultural experience is awesome! Please enjoy Irene's pictures and check out her website and blog! if you have photos to share please send them along! 

Look What Kelly Lorraine Caldwell Did!

Look at this fabulous piece Kelly Lorraine Caldwell created! It's titled "New Growth" and utilizes my ice dyed fabric, thread, embroidery floss, book pages and found objects.

I've gotten to know Kelly through the CT Chapter of SAQA. She has a lot of energy and a positive persona. Kelly's work is really unique and well crafted. Check out her website - I promise it will be a treat - click here! 

Look What Misty Cole Did!

Misty Cole made this lovely piece titled, "Fleeting Beauty". Misty said the design was inspired by a recent birthday that had her dreaming of younger days when she confidently wore a bikini with a pierced navel in public! What a hoot - to see Misty's full story and design process click here. 

As always it's a treat for me to see how other artists utilize the fabric I created! I love the combination of ice dyes with commercial - well done Misty - well done!

I met Misty last spring when we both attended the national SAQA conference in VA. We've stayed connected cyberly (is that a word?!) and I've been able to see some of the cool pieces she's created over the past year! Misty shared Celestial Spheres from a recent exhibition called, The Best Little Quilt Show in Maryland. She combined some of my fabrics with commercial fabrics for this very unique design. The more you look at it the more sub designs you see!

Over the past year I've stayed connected with a number of artist that I met at the SAQA conference = awesome! SAQA has a west coast conference coming up May 1 - 4 in Portland, OR and I can't wait for the chance to met more fabulous artists! 

Look What Susan Vassallo Created!

Susan Vassallo and I crossed paths at the 2014 SAQA conference in Alexandria, VA. Susan chose a large piece of snow dyed fabric to bring home with her and I was blown away by her creative vision! Just take a look at how she embellished and enhanced the fabric design... WOW! The panels are called The Sandra Day O'Connor series and each piece is 17" X 38". 

Susan added beads for some lovely bling!

Look What Linda Copper Did!

I had the pleasure of meeting Linda Cooper at the national SAQA conference in Virginia last spring! Recently Linda shared a photo of "Ice Flowers" she created using some of my ice dyed fabrics! I love the results and excited by the way Linda interpreted the fabric.

Look What Kate Themel Did!

Fiber Artist Kate Themel recently completed a challenge project for Viewpoints 9. I was delighted she chose my fabric as the background piece for Red Fox, Blue Fox! It's a fun piece with a blue fox who wears a sly grin... I wonder what he's thinking about?!

Kate recently earned the Young Emerging Artist Award and the People's Choice Award for her work in Quilt National '11. Please be sure to check out her sites to view more of her unique designs.

Look What Antonia Torres Created!

Antonia Torres is a founding member of the Connecticut Fiber Arts Collective! She is an inspirational artist who is able to translate what she visualizes into a fabric design.

As Toni was looking through my stash of fabrics she was drawn to this particular piece. Toni said she immediately knew she would create a design that felt as if you were peering through the branches and into the forest.

I'd say she did an awesome job!
