Whiffle Balls Meet Indigo!

I'm having fun with whiffle balls again... this time I dipped the whole mass into the indigo vat! Gotta love this fun design and color!

Just for fun I wrapped a piece of cotton around an old pool hose in the below picture. There seem to be separate strips of colors and designs. I'll add another type of surface design because it doesn't feel finished yet but it's off to a fun start!

Have you tried dyeing or painting with whiffle balls yet?!

  2. Can I ask what whiffle balls are? I've not heard of them here (in Australia).

    1. Hi! Whiffle Ball is the trademark name for the original plastic softball with holes in it. Another reader stated she found them on Amazon and I posted the link below. There are generic styled balls that would give you the same result and it doesn't have to be a genuine Whiffle Ball. I happen to live in the town where the Whiffle Ball was invented and now manufactured so to me they are "everywhere"! Try the link below and let me know how you make out!

    2. Thanks Carol. Yes, I have seen these balls, in toy shops! And my grandchildren played with them as babies. I'll go searching their old toy boxes for something to play with :-)
